PARTS & PRODUCTS

In order to offer the widest selection, we sell new, used and rebuilt tractor parts. If tractor parts are not new, it will be noted in the description if parts are used or rebuilt.

We sell aftermarket parts. They are not original OEM parts. But they are high quality parts that are in some cases better than OEM. Our engineers work hard to select the best quality material and the most reputable manufacturers to make our parts. Often we can fix design flaws that the OEM parts had.

No. OEM part numbers are used for reference only. It does not imply that the part is OEM or that we are in any way associated with the original manufacturer. We are not a dealer for any of the brands we sell parts for.

You can fill out our parts request form or give us a call. We have many parts that are not listed on our website. We may be able to special order your part. It may be something we have off one of our many salvage tractors or we may be able to rebuild your old part.

No, we only sell parts off of the salvage tractors. We do not sell the complete tractor. Please note the tractors are not complete for long after we get them.

No, probably not. The photos of salvage tractors on our website shows them when they arrive at our facilities. We are constantly selling parts off them and tearing them down further and further. But its ok, we are always getting more in. So give us a call and see if we can locate what you need.

Yes we do. We buy salvage tractors to tear down. If you have a tractor in not so good shape, give us a call!

PAYMENT

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Paypal. We are not able to ship orders COD. We do not accept out of state checks.

Yes. Southern Global goes to great lengths to earn your trust that you place in us by giving your personal information.

Sorry, no we are unable to offer terms. Payment is due at time of order.

A pre-authorization is a temporary hold of funds on a credit or debit card. The pre-authorization is NOT a charge and you are not responsible for paying for it. Pre-authorizations of your card do not mean that Southern Global has received any money for your order.

Pre-authorization is needed to make sure funds are available when we ship your order. It’s just like when you pump gas, you swipe your card and a pre-authorization is done for $75-100 before you’ve pumped any fuel to make sure that funds are available. Once you are done, the pre-authorization is replaced with the actual charge.

Pre-authorization release is entirely up to your credit or debit card. When we ship your parts, the actual charge of the invoice will get posted to your card. Once our actual charge is posted it can take anywhere from 24 hours to up to 3 weeks for the pre-authorization to be removed by your card company. We have no control over releasing funds.

Please allow 7 business days for us to process the refund and for the refund to post to your account.

ORDERING

We only charge sales tax if you are in the state of Mississippi. All other orders will be shipped without charging sales tax.

You order parts on the website, by email or over the phone with one of our sales reps. We are happy to speak with you by any method you choose.

You may order from our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may phone in your order to 6019287491 Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM Central time.

We try to ship the same day you order if the order is placed before noon or the next day if the order is placed after 12:00pm. If your parts are not in stock, it may take a little longer.

We will notify you either at the time of order or shortly thereafter if any items are out of stock. Your sales rep will find the quickest available method to get the parts to you rather we drop ship from our distributor or order them in.

Yes. You may cancel a back ordered part as long as it has not shipped yet. Just give us a call for details. Please note this does not apply to special order items.

Each manufacturer is different. It could be a few days to as many as a few weeks. If the part is out of production, the lead time can be considerably longer.

SHIPPING

You will receive a tracking number for all packages shipping from Southern Global (assuming you provide an email address). You will not for drop shipped orders. If you placed an order and did not receive a tracking number, please check your spam or junk folder. Please note you may not be able to track a package until the day after shipping.

We ship most packages via FedEx or UPS.  We offer next day, second day, third day and ground shipping thru both FedEx and UPS.  We do not ship any parts, no matter how small, by putting in a regular envelop and sending as a letter. We will not ship via a cheaper method if it might potentially damage the parts.

We ship daily Monday thru Friday. Most packages ship same day or next day. In stock orders placed before noon ship same day. If a part is backordered, we will notify you. We reserve the right to dropship from a third party in the event we run out of stock. In an effort to save time, your order may ship from two different locations.

Yes! Just let us know you are in a rush and we can quote you several expedited shipping options. We are happy to work with you to find the right shipping method to fit your time frame and budget. We make every effort to ship air packages same day but can not guarantee it will be shipped the same day it is ordered.

Shipping is determined by several factors. Main factors include weight, box size, destination address and delivery method.

Once your items have shipped, it takes around 2 to 5 business days to arrive at your location. You can track the shipment to find the expected delivery date or if there are any issues that have caused a shipping delay. Destinations outside the continental US will take additional time for delivery.

No problem. Delivery carriers will generally let you leave a signed note on your door with instructions. UPS and FedEx will generally leave a ground shipment at the door in without a note. You can also instruct the UPS driver to take it back to the customer service center for pickup if you do not want it left. For detailed information please contact the delivery carrier.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Absolutely! We are happy to ship internationally.

For international shipments, we ship via UPS and FedEx. We have found them to be the most reliable carriers.

Time in transit will vary with the type of service you select and the destination country. It will also depend on how fast customs clears your package.

Southern Global only charges for shipping. You will receive addition fees from customs via UPS/FedEx. Please note international orders may be subject to import fees such as duties, taxes and brokerage fees.  International customers will be responsible for all import fees. Please check with your counties customs office to determine what these costs maybe prior to buying.

DAMAGES & SHORTAGES

Alert the delivery driver and call us as soon as possible. Be sure to save the box and packing for inspection by the carrier. The customer is responsible for carefully examining all shipments immediately. Any outside damage to the box must be noted when signing for the package. The customer must ask the driver to note all damages when signing. All damages and shortages must be reported immediately.

Yes. The customer must retain any cartons, packages, or related data until inspection has been made by the carrier. Any claims involving concealed damage or shortage or a wrong part received that are not reported within 30 days of the invoice that will not be honored by Southern Global.

RETURNS

Yes. Qualifying parts may be returned within 30 days. Stock parts are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Non stock or special ordered parts are not returnable. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Customer is responsible for return shipping cost. Parts must be returned in their original packaging and be in resalable condition. Parts that have been installed, open kits, electrical parts, and manuals are not returnable.

Please call us at 601-928-7491 to get the process started. One of our sales reps will walk you through the process and explain what the next steps are.

Electrical parts may not be returned for refund. Electrical items include but are not limited to starters, alternators, generators, dynos, voltage regulators, ignition switches, glow plugs, glow plug indicators, and any type of sending unit. We have no way to determine if an electrical part was used for troubleshooting and damaged during that process, therefore we don’t allow returns for electrical items. Please be certain of your need for an electrical item before placing an order.

Sorry, no. Manuals are not returnable for any reason. We have had too many instances of manuals being photocopied and returned for credit. Please note some of our manuals are written in other languages. If this is a concern, please check before ordering.

If you wish to return an item please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. After 30 days we can not take a return. Please do not refuse the shipment if you order in error. Because we occasionally drop ships, Southern Global’s may not be the return address. Please accept all packages and contact us for a resolution.

The customer is responsible for the returning the parts in good condition. Be sure to insure package properly to cover any damage that may occur during shipping. Please package all items well to prevent damage. We can not accept returns that have been damaged in shipping. You will have to make a damage claim with your shipper.

TECH STUFF

A gray market tractor means the tractor was produced for one country then sold used and imported to a different country. Gray market tractors were made in Japan for the Asian market. Then, in the 1980’s, private individuals started buying them used from Japan, importing to the USA and re-selling without any consent from the manufacturer (like Kubota, Yanmar, Mitsubishi etc).

Most likely there is not a service manual available in English. The Japanese manufacturers did not translate manuals unless the tractor was sold new in the USA.

We have many torque specs on file and are happy to share it if we have it available. Please visit our Torque Specs section to look you your model tractor.

Sitting in the seat of the tractor facing forward.

There are lots of reasons for a tractor being hard to crank. These are a few common things to check but it still may be some other reason. A weak starter may not spin the engine fast enough. A damaged flywheel may cause the starter not to engage properly. Check for trash in your diesel fuel or a clogged fuel filter. Look for burnt out glow plugs, glowplug resistor and thermostart plug (if used). You may have low compression due to a leaky head gasket, stuck valve, cracked piston or worn rings.

Do not use ether! It can seriously damage your engine. Ether can cause the pre-combustion chambers to separate from the cylinder head and strike the piston, causing it to shatter.

No. Use 50/50 antifreeze. 100 percent straight antifreeze can act as an insulator and cause your engine to overheat.

The most common cause of overheating is a stopped up radiator. Try taking it to a radiator shop and having it rodded out. Inspect your radiator hoses. Also check for a lose fan belt or leaky water pump. Do not use straight antifreeze. Remember in very hot, humid conditions your tractor will not be able to cool as effectively. Give it a break, don’t work it too hard in these conditions.

Many gray market tractors did not come with thermostats. Japanese manufacturers felt that by eliminating the thermostat the tractor would run cooler when used in rice paddys. Most USA tractors have thermostats. The thermostat will allow it to come up to operating temperature more quickly in cold weather. Stick with how the tractor was originally designed. If it did not come with a thermostat, do not add one.

Loosen the bleed screw on the fuel filter body (front screw). When fuel flows tighten the screw. Then loosen the bleed screw on the injection pump. When the fuel flows without bubbles, tighten the screw. Sometimes, this won’t be enough and you have to bleed the injection pump while cranking the tractor.

Replace the upper seal/bushing and pack the steering box with grease instead of oil.

No, use it only when needed. Running all the time will prematurely wear out the pinion gears.

Your clutch disc is stuck to the engine flywheel. Water probably got into your bell housing and it to rust. Try pulling a load and disengaging the clutch pedal. Sometimes it will pop loose. If not, the tractor will need to be split and the clutch serviced. When storing your tractor, a small block of wood between the clutch pedal and running board can help prevent a stuck clutch.

The release bearing/throwout bearing is worn out. Split the tractor and replace it. Inspect your clutch and pressure plate for damage as well.

Your brake shoes are most likely dirty or worn out. Try cleaning the brake shoes and the drum. Inspect for damage, replace if damaged or if rivets are showing.

No. Hydraulic fluid should not change its appearance. If it looks milky, you have water mixed in it. Most likely you have a damaged shifter boot that is allowing water into your system.

Start with cleaning your hydraulic screen. If it is torn, replace it. Make sure you have the proper amount of hydraulic fluid. Other causes can be a weak hydraulic pump, control valve, or hydraulic piston seal.

Tractor manufacturers used different hydraulic pumps on tractors with 4WD, front end loaders, etc. To be sure we get you the correct pump, we need the numbers off your original hydraulic pump. These numbers tell us flow rate, shaft size, port size and mounting bolt pattern.
